Photonic System Validation Engineer

You’ll be a key player in verifying system-level functionality, corner case robustness, and module-level performance using state-of-the-art equipment and methodologies. This is your opportunity to ensure reliability at the forefront of photonic innovation.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and execute detailed test plans for photonic modules and subcomponents.
• Conduct edge-case analysis to evaluate system reliability under extreme conditions.
• Debug photonic systems using optical spectrum analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, and power meters.
• Analyze performance data using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools to extract insights and drive design improvements.
• Collaborate with optical, systems, and firmware engineers to refine validation processes.

What You Bring

• M.S. with 5+ years or Ph.D. with 2+ years in Optical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of photonic devices—lasers, SOAs, filters, splitters, and photodetectors.
• Expertise in optical test and measurement, and experience with data visualization and test automation.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; experience with statistical analysis and reliability testing is a plus.
