You will design, simulate, lay out, and characterize photonic integrated circuits, linking optical waveguide theory to real device performance. You will conduct hands-on measurements, interpret results, and translate research into hardware and software demonstrations.

Qualifikationen

• PhD required in photonics, EE, optics, physics, or related field.
• Proven ability to conduct innovative research in integrated photonics.
• Deep understanding of optical waveguide theory: mode solving, confinement, polarization, dispersion.
• Experience with PIC simulation, design and layout.
• Familiarity with PIC tools: RSoft, Lumerical, Tidy3D, IPKISS, KLayout.
• Hands-on PIC component characterization experience.
• Experience with die- or wafer-level probing of PIC devices.
