Job summary

Acceler8 Talent is partnering with a Berkeley photonic startup to hire a Photonic Circuit Design Engineer. You will own the photonic layout and tape-out flow, connecting the PIC and electronic IC teams and driving integration across design stages.

The role focuses on building workflows with Cadence Photonics and Virtuoso for a 45 nm GlobalFoundries process, designing and simulating silicon photonic devices, and collaborating with packaging and measurement teams to deliver energy-efficient

Qualifications

• Experience owning PIC layout, DRC/LVS, signoff and tape-out.
• Proficient in Cadence Photonics and Virtuoso workflows.
• Familiar with GlobalFoundries 45 nm process technology.
• Design and simulate silicon photonic devices and circuits.
• Collaborate across EIC, packaging and measurement teams.

Responsibilities

• Own PIC layout, DRC/LVS, signoff and tape-out.
• Build Cadence Photonics and Virtuoso workflows.
• Work with GlobalFoundries 45 nm process technology.
• Design and simulate silicon photonic devices and circuits.
• Integrate photonic design with electronics packaging and test.
