Job summary

Spectrum News in Florida is seeking a Photojournalist to shoot and edit material for newscasts and digital platforms. You’ll elevate stories with fresh angles, lighting, and storytelling, collaborating with a team to deliver timely content.

Requirements include 5+ years shooting/editing television news, a bachelor's degree in journalism or related field, and the ability to travel and operate ENG/SNG vehicles. A valid driver's license is required.

• Experience: Shooting and editing television news footage - 5+ years.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field, or comparable television work experience
• Technical Skills: Operation of ENG/SNG/Satellite vehicles and bonded cellular streaming
• Skills: Knowledge of how to clearly communicate solutions; ability to relate to populations and ages
• Abilities: Positive attitude and eagerness to solve problems, lifting and carrying up to 100 pounds, ability to distinguish colors and discern sounds
• Travel Ability: Must be open to travel to discover the important stories in your neighborhood and willing to interact with the community
• Schedule: Ability to work different shifts, be flexible with schedule changes and able to cover stand-by responsibilities when assigned
• Valid driver's license for authorized driving in the state of residence

You'll elevate stories by incorporating footage with fresh angles, lighting, and points of view. • Works inside in a climate-controlled environment and outside throughout the year and may be subjected to various weather conditions that could include extreme heat or cold conditions
