Colby College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Art (Photography), beginning July 1, 2027. The successful candidate will lead the Photo concentration within Studio Art, teaching analog B&W and digital photography from introductory to advanced levels and guiding seniors through the capstone.

Requirements include an MFA, at least two years of college teaching as instructor of record, and a strong record of creative scholarship.

Qualifications

• MFA required.
• At least two years of teaching as instructor of record at the college level.
• Significant record of creative scholarship.

Responsabilités

• Teach analog black-and-white and digital photography from introductory through advanced levels.
• Guide seniors through the senior capstone experience.
• Manage state-of-the-art photography facilities on the top floor of the Colby Museum of Art's Alfond-Lunder Family Pavilion.
• Contribute to Colby's commitment to inclusive excellence in teaching and learning.
