Job summary

Johnson County Community College (JCCC) is seeking a Technician II in Photography & Media to provide technical support in studios and the equipment check-in/out room. This role supports analog and digital workflow, camera operations, lighting, and post-production software.

The position offers non-exempt, part-time hours with a starting salary range of $18.63–$23.84 per hour, determined by experience. Primary site is Overland Park, KS with no hybrid schedule.

Qualifications

Associate degree required in arts/photography related field.
Ability to lift, carry, push and pull 50 pounds.
Preferred bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

Provides technical and instructional support to students, faculty, and staff in analog, digital, computer, and shooting studios.
Operates and supports printers, scanners, and professional cameras and lighting equipment.
Manages equipment checkout, inventory, and return processes.
Supports Fine Arts Gallery exhibitions including installation and documentation.
Ensures safety procedures in studios and laboratories.
