Job summary

G&B Photography is seeking a driven, hands-on leader to oversee a field team of photographers. You will balance leadership, logistics, and operational execution to deliver exceptional client experiences.

The role requires managing scheduling, coaching, equipment, and performance, with regular field visits and leadership Meetings. A valid driver’s license, travel readiness, and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 3–4 years of related photography experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven ability to lead and effectively manage a team.
• Knowledge of photography equipment.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel with occasional overnight stays.
• Reliable insured transportation to reach assigned locations; vehicle insurance must be current.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory responsibilities to a subset of the photography team.
• Recruit, hire, onboarding, new hire training, ongoing coaching and performance management.
• Field visits to observe and coach photographers.
• Provide leadership through team meetings and 1-on-1s; set a positive example.
• Attend leadership meetings to discuss strategy and results; adjust as needed.
• Manage labor spending and productivity for the assigned team.
• Prepare and conduct performance reviews for team members.
• Create a customer-centric culture and train team in customer service.
• Equipment management including inventory and maintenance.
• Oversee seasonal distribution and collection of equipment.
• Provide insight on seasonal photography sets and testing.
• Schedule team for onsite photography events by skills and location.
• Review employees' time records for payroll accuracy.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about developing people, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and ensuring high‑quality photography operations in the field. You will play a key role in leading and supporting a team of photographers, balancing leadership, logistics, and operational execution to help create memorable experiences for our clients while driving performance and accountability across the team.

Leadership

• Provides supervisory responsibilities to a subset of the photography team. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, recruiting, hiring, onboarding, new hire training, ongoing coaching, development and training of team including seasonal reviews and performance management.
• Field visits - periodically visits jobs to observe and coach photographers to improve
• Provide leadership to the team through team meetings, 1 on 1 meetings and setting a positive example.
• Provide clear expectations to team members and hold them accountable in a positive way. Setting an example to the team through holding yourself to high expectations and personal accountability.
• Attends meetings with leadership to discuss strategy, current results, and determine any changes necessary to drive the business forward.
• Responsible for the labor spending and productivity of assigned team.
• Prepare and conduct performance reviews for team members.
• Create a customer centric culture and provide ongoing customer service training to all team members.

Equipment Support

• Responsible for equipment management, including inventory and maintenance.
• Oversee seasonal distribution and collection of equipment
• Provide insight on seasonal photography sets, equipment and testing.

Scheduling

• Responsible for properly scheduling team members for onsite photography events by matching skills, location and productivity.
• Ongoing review of employees' time records to ensure accuracy through our payroll systems.
