An established educational institution is seeking part-time faculty to join its dynamic team. This role focuses on teaching arts courses and supporting students from diverse backgrounds, ensuring an inclusive and equitable learning environment. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS SUMMARY
This recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date. If there is no longer a need to fill, the position may be closed sooner, and applicants will be notified.
This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis. When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part-time faculty.

The candidate selected for employment will be required to provide the following: official transcripts and verification of experience prior to the first duty day, identification and employment eligibility as outlined in the Immigration Reform and Control Act, fingerprints and required medical certification pursuant to statute. NOCCCD will not sponsor any visa applications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s in photography, fine arts, or art
OR
Bachelor’s in any of the above
AND
Master’s in art history or humanities
OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area;
OR the equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.

The applicant must be able to demonstrate how these factors relate to the need for equity minded practices within the classroom.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated success in helping arts students from historically underrepresented and/or marginalized groups, nontraditional students, speakers of other languages, and students with learning disabilities.
