Job summary

TelevisaUnivision is seeking a dedicated, creative Photographer to join our news team in Miami. You will capture compelling visuals for live and taped news programming, collaborating closely with reporters, producers and other newsroom partners.

The role requires 2+ years of camera/editing experience, fluency in English and Spanish, and the ability to operate broadcasting equipment in fast-paced environments. This is a full-time, on-site position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent work experience in Broadcast Communications.
  • 2+ years’ experience in camera/editing.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills both written and oral.
  • Knowledge of editing software such as Avid Media Composer.
  • Knowledge of i-News rundown.
  • Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Be able to lift heavy equipment up to 45 pounds and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

  • Shoot and edit daily news stories, breaking news, and special reports as assigned with or without reporter using non-linear editing.
  • Set up, test, and operate equipment for live and recorded broadcasts, including LiveU and other mobile transmission technology.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in the field and communicate equipment or transmission concerns to the appropriate team.
  • Edit materials to match scripts prepared by reporter, producer, or associate producer.
  • Work with reporters to get complete stories and make suggestions on how a story should be produced.

TelevisaUnivision is seeking a dedicated, creative, and passionate full-time Photographer to join our news team. The Photographer will play an essential role in bringing stories to life by capturing compelling visuals for our news programming across live and taped events. As part of a fast-paced and collaborative team, you will work closely with reporters, producers, and other newsroom partners to deliver high-quality visual storytelling. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for compelling images, can think quickly in a dynamic environment, and is passionate about covering the stories that matter most to our community.
