Job summary

KSWB/KUSI is seeking a creative Photographer/Editor for our lifestyle shows. You will shoot and edit for on-air and digital content, support client commercials, and help tell compelling stories in live studio and on-location shoots.

Requirements include strong non-linear editing (Adobe Premiere), photography skills, and live truck operation. California driver’s license is required, and you must be able to lift 50+ lbs. This is an on-site role with varied shifts.

Job description

KSWB/KUSI is seeking a creative and versatile Photographer/Editor for our lifestyle shows. This candidate is a multiskilled photographer and master editor who leans forward into innovation to capture an audience with compelling content.

Photographer will shoot and edit for our Lifestyle shows and assist with client commercials. This candidate must have a strong understanding of production workflows and be comfortable with live studio production, experienced with on-location lighting and sound, Sony Cinema cameras and Adobe softwarewith a passion for creating content for use on-air and digital platforms. If you can bring strong creativity and photographic excellence, plus teamwork andability to meet deadlines, you will fit right in.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Excellent Photography/Non-linearediting/live truck operation skills. Candidate will be responsible for editing our Lifestyle shows and assist with client commercials. Keeps assigned equipment in good working condition and files all required paperwork. Ability to set up remotes to allow transmission of digital file feeds or live-from-the-field reports back to the station.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience in Photography, Videography, Editing and Live Truck operations. Must have advanced knowledge of non-linear editing on Adobe Premiere and understanding of color correction. Requires one to have a valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record, as driving a news vehicle daily to and from assignments is an essential part of the daily routine. Detail-oriented, able to follow directions, and ability to perform duties and make independent decisions under extreme pressure. Business needs may also require individual to be able to work various shifts and times. Must be able to lift 50+lbs, including loading production gear in and out of vehicles, setting up and striking large lighting equipment, cameras, camera dollies and audio equipment.

Starting at $24/hrcommensurate with experience and skill level.
