Job summary

Inter-State Studio & Publishing Co. is seeking a photographer for on-site assignments in Evansville, IN and surrounding areas.

You will set up equipment, pose and photograph students and staff at schools, blending technical photography with customer service. This seasonal role follows the school calendar with early mornings and 8–10 hour days; flexible scheduling includes time off during summer and winter breaks.

Qualifications

Inter-State Studio & Publishing Co. is looking for Photographers to join our team in Evansville, IN and the surrounding area!

Position Overview

As an Inter-State Studio Photographer, you will set up provided equipment, pose, and photograph students and staff on-site at schools. This role blends your technical photography skills with the ability to work in a dynamic environment. If you have an eye for detail and can make people feel comfortable in front of the camera, we want to hear from you!

This seasonal position is ideal for those who enjoy working with children and need a flexible schedule. Workdays vary based on school schedules, requiring early mornings and generally lasting 8-10 hours; hours can range from 8 - 40 a week. We offer flexibility in scheduling when days off are needed. This flexibility allows you to manage personal commitments, and we often accommodate time‑off requests. With our schedule aligning with the school calendar, you'll have time off during summer and winter breaks, perfect for those who appreciate these free periods.

Paid training starts 7/27.

We pay mileage and drive time, with bonus opportunities!

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation – you must be able to photograph equipment, drive one way up to two hours, and have insurance coverage
• Background check includes a Motor Vehicle Report

Abilities and Skills

• Photography experience preferred but not required – we provide training!
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and volunteers
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills and access to email
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
