Job summary

INTER-STATE STUDIO & PUBLISHING CO in Champaign, IL seeks an on-site Seasonal Photographer to capture students and staff at schools. You will set up provided equipment, pose, and shoot portraits with care to detail.

Strong people skills, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced school environment are key. Training is provided; mileage reimbursement is available, and schedules align with the school calendar, including breaks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to drive up to two hours one-way and have adequate insurance coverage.
• Background check requirement: Motor Vehicle Report.

Position Overview

As an Inter‑State Studio Photographer, you will set up provided equipment, pose, and photograph students and staff on‑site at schools. This role blends your technical photography skills with the ability to work in a dynamic environment. If you have an eye for detail and can make people feel comfortable in front of the camera, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Set up photography equipment and prepare the studio area at each school location.
• Guide students and staff in posing and ensure candid moments are captured.
• Operate camera and lighting equipment to achieve high‑quality portraits.
• Maintain organized workflow, including file naming and backup during sessions.
• Assist with equipment transport, including driving up to two hours one‑way.
• Comply with safety and disability accommodations as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Capacity to drive up to two hours one‑way and have adequate insurance coverage.
