Job summary
WD's Fremont Office is seeking a Photo Equipment Engineer to monitor performance, troubleshoot, and optimize tool uptime in a high-precision manufacturing environment. You will certify and train maintenance staff, establish procedures, and lead investigations into excursions, delivering 8D reports and cross-functional resolutions.
The role requires a BS in engineering with 3–7 years in photo equipment, experience with ASML, Canon or Nikon tools, and strong analytical, communication, and teamwork
Qualifications
- BS degree in electrical, mechanical, physics, chemistry, or materials science.
- Experience with Photolithography equipment tools (ASML XT Twin Scan, ASML PAS5500, Canon/Nikon Steppers).
- Strong analytical, data-driven problem solving and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
Responsibilities
- Monitor equipment performance and fix tools.
- Certify and train maintenance staff and tool owners.
- Establish written maintenance procedures.
- Lead investigations for equipment excursions and provide solutions.
- Provide 8D reports and executive summaries to management.
- Suggest safety improvements and ensure QA compliance.
- Work with vendors to ensure tool performance and escalate line-down situations.
