Job Description :

We are looking for a Photo Editor to join the California Post team. The California Post’s Photo Department is integral to our fast-paced newsroom, working across platforms to enhance storytelling with compelling and timely imagery. Our editors are visual journalists with sharp editorial instincts and a keen sense for what resonates with readers. Reporting into the Photo Director, this role will be a key part of the visuals team, helping shape how stories are told across our digital platforms. The Photo Editor will react quickly to breaking news, source compelling imagery, and collaborate closely with editors and reporters to ensure our coverage is visually engaging, accurate, and timely.

Responsibilities:

• Produce fast visual coverage on live breaking news and trending stories.
• Fulfill photo requests to produce high quality assets for digital and print needs.
• Researching live news, sports & political events.
• Create visually impactful composites for the homepage.

Note: This role will be expected to report on-site 5 days per week.The shift schedule for this role is Sunday-Thursday, 1 p.m.-9 p.m. PST.

Base Pay Range: $65,000 - $85,000
