Job summary

Qualifications

• Takes and relays messages accurately and timely.
• Responds to emergency and urgent calls from patients.
• Directs callers to clinical staff as necessary.
• Performs operator functions including triaging, transferring, and setting up conference calls.
• Reports telephone and equipment malfunctions to the appropriate party.
• Performs clerical duties to maintain workflow in the department.
• Serves as liaison between patients and medical staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
