Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector seeks a Phone Installation Technician to install, maintain, and support telecom systems, including VoIP and legacy phones, at customer sites in McLean and Chantilly. Office presence is required on-site, with a 40-hour work week and travel between locations.

The role requires a TSSCI with poly clearance and involves a 6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. shift, with potential extended hours during peak periods and coverage for 24x7 operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of cabling methodologies and industry standards.
• Experience installing endpoints including VOIP and phones, and network switches.
• Ability to troubleshoot telecom and hardware issues and answer related queries.

Responsibilities

• Support all facets of phone installations and troubleshooting of telephones.

AT&T has an opening for a Phone Installation Technician responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of telecommunications systems, including VoIP and legacy phone systems

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Supporting all facets of phone installations and troubleshooting a variety of telephones.
• Installing, pulling, terminating, and dressing cabling appropriately according to industry and Sponsor standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty connections, dropped calls, or hardware issues
• Configure call routing, voicemail, extensions, and phone features
• Local travel may be required between customer buildings or temporary assignment to an alternate location in support of special projects.
• Member of a team comprised of a variety of skills that provide coverage from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with flexibility to support 24x7 operations; may need to work extended hours during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests.

SHIFT: 6am-2:30pm. Must be willing to travel back and forth between Chantilly and McLean

Required Clearance:

TSSCI with poly (#tssci) (#polygraph)

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent knowledge of various cabling methodologies, industry standards, troubleshooting techniques, and reading/understanding cable run lists.
• Experience with installing endpoints including but not limited to desktop IT equipment, printers, VOIP and digital phones, network switches.
• Experience resolving technical problems and answering queries by that involve computer hardware, network, and telecommunications systems

Desired Qualifications:

• Related work experience in IT hardware and cabling installation.
• Experience with implementation on the Sponsor's network LAN infrastructure.
• Ability to adapt to quickly changing tasks and requirements and the ability to quickly learn new skills while on the job

Our Phone Installation Technician's earn between $69,000 - $111,500. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
