Job summary

The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Safety Manager based in Phoenix, AZ. You will provide site safety leadership, develop project safety plans, conduct training, and audit safety programs across the project team.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in construction safety, OSHA 30 preferred, and strong communication to foster a culture of safety. The role emphasizes proactive safety planning and regulatory compliance on site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the creation of the project safety plan.
• Track and trend project safety performance and recommend corrective measures.
• Verify project team adherence to safety processes and assist with enforcement of safety programs.
• Facilitate project safety committees and preconstruction safety planning.
• Conduct or facilitate project-wide safety training and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate and communicate site safety activities with the Project Manager.
• Support OSHA inspections and incident investigations.
• Ensure stop-work authority is understood and exercised when needed.
