Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Keep the bus clean and follow assigned routes and schedules.
• Check the bus before operation for mechanical defects and notify if needed.
• Transport and discharge students at authorized stops.
• Attend all required training sessions and adhere to district rules.

• Valid Alaska Commercial Driver’s License with Passenger and School Bus Endorsement.

• Must submit to and successfully pass State Drug and Alcohol testing.
• Certified in First Aid.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Obey all traffic laws and observe all mandatory safety regulations for school buses.
• Maintain discipline when students are on the bus and report problems to the proper authority.
• Keep the assigned bus clean.
• Follow assigned route and schedule.
• Check the bus before each operation for mechanical defects and notify the proper authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness.
• Transport and discharge students only at authorized stops.
• Complete and attend all training sessions as required.
• Adhere to all District rules and regulations.
