Labcorp seeks a Phlebotomy Trainee for its Monroe, WA Patient Service Center. The program provides paid phlebotomy school within 30 days of hire and hands-on exposure to phlebotomy in a PSC or clinic setting.

You will split time as a Patient Intake Representative, attending school part-time while getting paid, with promotion to a phlebotomy role after licensure. Growth and development are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and strong verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend phlebotomy school (paid for by Labcorp) within 30 days of hire.
• Observe phlebotomy collections in PSC or clinic to prepare for phlebotomy role.
• Schedule patient appointments and greet patients on arrival.
• Ensure a welcoming environment for all patients and visitors.
• Assist patients with registration and check-in procedures.
• Data entry of patient demographics and billing information.
• Verify insurance coverage and post payments to patient accounts.
• Collect and prepare specimens for testing as needed.
• Call physician offices to confirm accuracy of test orders.
• Monitor and log patient wait times regularly.
