Intermountain Healthcare offers a Phlebotomy Student program to train individuals in accurate specimen collection within a professional medical setting. You will learn venipuncture, capillary puncture, PIVO, and throat swab collections while preparing to advance to Phlebotomist I at Intermountain Health.

The four-week course combines classroom learning with a clinical externship across Intermountain Laboratory Services and affiliated sites.

Qualifications

• 125 venipunctures minimum
• 10 capillary sticks minimum
• 4 blood culture collections minimum
• Four-week training course (classroom + externship)

Responsabilités

• Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture under supervision
• Adhere to patient identification and specimen labeling policies
• Work in a team to provide safe, high-quality specimen collection
• Wear appropriate PPE and follow safety regulations
