Job summary

Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus in Cleveland is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to join a dedicated medical laboratory team. You will perform accurate blood collection from patients of all ages, ensuring sample integrity and patient comfort in a fast-paced environment.

Prior phlebotomy experience is preferred, with externship experience welcomed for new graduates. Growth opportunities include Lead Phlebotomist or supervisory roles across the Cleveland Clinic system.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Phlebotomy Technician experience required.
• Preferred: formal phlebotomy certification or completed accredited program with clinical externship.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection procedures and venipuncture while following safety protocols.
• Verify patient orders and identify information prior to drawing blood.
• Label specimens and deliver to processing area accurately.
• Perform specimen processing tasks including accessioning, centrifugation and packaging.
• Transport blood and other samples and lab supplies as needed.
