Responsibilities

• Verifies patient identification and collects specimens per protocol.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens from newborn to adult patients.
• Ensures proper labeling and handling of specimens; resolves issues.
• Answers calls, assists with inventory, and supports lab workflows.
• Orders and verifies test requests and documents information for QA.
• Supports Billing and other business functions as needed.
• Instructs staff and students in phlebotomy and data entry.
• Demonstrates care appropriate to patient age groups.
