Responsibilities

• Performs order entry and medical necessity screening for Medicare patients.
• Performs specimen collection, including venipuncture and urine collection, and accession specimens.
• Demonstrates proper infection control and patient identification.
• Transports specimens promptly and accurately.
• Performs drug screen collection and processing and may perform CLIA waived or moderate testing.
• Performs EKGs when assigned.
• Responds to lab phones and assists in process improvement initiatives.
