Job summary

• Ability to transcribe orders and handle specimens with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in specimen procurement and processing.
• Works in on- and/or off-site service areas with potential 24-hour shift coverage.
• May accept on-call responsibilities and act as in-charge in supervisor's absence.
• Maintains quality control and instrument checks; records results.
• Collects, processes, and transports specimens as directed; ensures proper handling.
• Provides clear instructions to patients and others using laboratory services.
