UHC United Hospital Center in Elkins, WV is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect blood and non-blood specimens, including urine and swabs, and manage chain-of-custody samples. You will perform venipunctures and label specimens accurately, using basic lab equipment and computer systems.

Strong patient communication and clerical skills are required. This role is non-exempt, on-site with potential shift variations; HS diploma required, CPT certification preferred, and at least 6 months phlebotomy

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy Certification (CPT) preferred.
• Six (6) months of phlebotomy experience.

Aufgaben

• Consistently draws blood with minimal discomfort for diverse patient groups.
• Properly labels all specimens in the presence of the patient.
• Operate basic lab equipment such as centrifuges, printers, scanners, and related systems.
• Communicate effectively with patients, clients, and staff.
• Perform clerical duties like filing, report distribution, processing, and faxing.
• Collect drug screens using Chain of Custody Process when applicable.
