Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System in Garfield Heights seeks a Phlebotomy Technician to join the Marymount Hospital team. The role involves drawing blood from patients, labeling specimens and delivering them to the processing area as part of the Medical Laboratory Team.

Qualifications

• Technical proficiency with standard procedures, techniques and common practices.
• Phlebotomy certification or equivalent credentials are preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited phlebotomy program with clinical rotation/externship is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collection procedures and venipuncture following established protocols.
• Verify order requests and identify patient information prior to drawing blood.
• Label specimens correctly and transport to the appropriate processing area.
• Process specimens and complete accessioning, centrifugation and packaging tasks.
• Pickup and deliver blood and other lab supplies as needed.
