Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is seeking a phlebotomy technician to perform venipunctures, EKGs and DNA collections with a patient‑centered approach. You will process and label specimens, enter data in LIS/HIS and support lab operations across locations in the Pocono region.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy training or related medical terminology experience, excellent communication and customer service skills, and PA BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with basic computer skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service.
• Knowledge of blood draw techniques and safety guidelines.
• Phlebotomy training or related medical terminology experience.
• Ability to build reports and convey information clearly.
• Completion of required training within 90 days and PA BLS certification.

Responsabilités

• Performs venipunctures, capillary draws, EKG and DNA collections for all ages.
• Identifies patients and correctly labels specimens per protocol.
• Prepares and stores specimens for transport per SOPs.
• Reviews orders for accuracy and logs courier interactions.
• Performs LIS and HIS data entry for samples and tests.
• Responds to inquiries regarding specimen requirements and schedules.
