Actalent is seeking an experienced phlebotomist for a contract-to-hire role in Woodburn, IN. The candidate will perform blood draws, label and process specimens, and ensure proper packaging for transport while maintaining specimen integrity.

Requirements include a minimum of 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a hospital or lab setting; pediatric and geriatric experience is mandatory; phlebotomy certification is preferred.

• Centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens per test orders.
• Package and transport specimens maintaining required temperatures.

Job Description

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport. Stores specimen sample according to required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container/ tube, accurately labels, follows different procedures as outlined by specific to protocol deemed necessary for transport to maintain integrity of the specimen.

Qualification

• 1+ Year of experience working as Phlebotomist in lab & Hospital is Mandatory
• Pediatric & Geriatric exp Mandatory
• Phlebotomy Certification Preferred

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodburn, IN.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
