Actalent is seeking a Phlebotomist to support a primary care setting in Falls Church, VA. The role focuses on blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifugation, and maintaining accurate patient information.

The candidate should have a phlebotomy certification, a High School Diploma or GED, and 2–4 years of experience with venipuncture and pediatric draws. Hours are Mon–Fri, 8 AM–5 PM, on-site with potential for contract-to-hire.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in venipuncture techniques.
• Experience with pediatric blood draws.
• Strong customer service skills.

• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes with 100% accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store them at required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer telephone inquiries and read laboratory results as needed.

• Clearly and courteously explain the venipuncture and specimen collection processes to patients.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and ensure 100% accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store them at required temperatures.
• Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Attend annual department trainings.
• Answer telephone inquiries and read laboratory results as needed.

Essential Skills

Work Environment

The role operates in a primary care setting, catering to patients of all ages. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Falls Church, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
