Job summary

Touchstone Medical Imaging, located in Plano, TX, is seeking a Technologist Assistant (Phlebotomist) to provide onsite support to technologists and help optimize patient care and center workflow.

The role requires assisting with screening, room setup, IV administration support, and ensuring a smooth patient experience. A High School diploma and phlebotomy experience are preferred; a focus on safety and communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience running IVs - venipuncture.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Greets and escorts patients to changing room; briefly explains procedure
• Provides pre-exam screening and instructions
• Assists patients on and/or off table when requested by technologist
• Supports technologists throughout scan and IV contrast administration
• Manages post-scan patient hand-off
• Ensures efficient, friendly, and smooth patient experience for all patients who enter the center
• Monitors center modality schedules and communicates changes to staff
• Maintains a clean, well-organized, and safe patient environment
