Job summary

Laboratory Sciences of Arizona is seeking a Phlebotomist to support specimen collection and processing across Hospital Facilities, PSCs, IOPs, and Mobile Diagnostic Services. You will verify demographics, prepare samples, and help ensure accurate lab results while maintaining quality and compliance.

The role requires completion of a phlebotomy program, certification, and flexibility to travel across multiple sites, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement of 18.
• High school diploma or equivalent (may be required dependent on state regulatory requirements).
• Basic knowledge of department resource materials.
• Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification as defined by state regulations.
• Position may require DHS fingerprinting certification or the ability to obtain fingerprint certification.
• Valid state driver’s license in the state of employment and eligible for coverage under the company auto insurance policy (if required).
• Float positions require travel and flexible hours, including ability to work multiple locations and cover mobile and in-office phlebotomy locations on short notice.
• Must be flexible and available based on staffing requirements, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• May be required to work occasional on-call duties: weekends, evenings, and early mornings.
• Progression through career ladder II-IV is subject to completion of career ladder requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens and ensure correct patient and specimen identification.
• Enter and verify patient demographics, location, tests requested, and other requisition data.
• Prepare samples for transport and assist in processing and coding for billing.
• Focus on quality and maintain documentation per site protocol.
• Collaborate with teams and participate in cost-control and service-improvement initiatives.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and professional patient interaction.
