Job summary

Banner Health seeks a phlebotomist to collect specimens across hospital facilities, PSCs, IOP, or mobile services. You will verify patient data, prepare samples, and ensure correct labeling and timely transport while upholding quality and privacy standards.

The role requires flexible hours, potential travel between sites, and strong customer service. A phlebotomy program and state certification are expected; bilingual candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 or older.
• High School diploma or equivalent as required by state.
• Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification as defined by state regulations.
• DHS Fingerprinting Certification or ability to obtain.
• Valid state driver’s license and vehicle access where required.
• May travel to multiple locations and work flexible hours, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens and ensure accurate patient identification.
• Enter demographics, tests, and specimen data into the system with accuracy.
• Label, aliquot and process specimens per protocol; deliver to lab promptly.
• Maintain quality standards and documentation for patient reporting.
• Assist in monitoring workflow and training new staff.
• Support billing processes and cost-control initiatives.
