Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist Representative I - Hospital in Dover Foxcroft, ME. This hospital-based role runs Monday to Friday with 6:00 PM–6:30 AM shifts, with weekend rotation.

You will draw quality blood samples and interact with patients in a professional, reassuring manner. Responsibilities include venipuncture, labeling and processing specimens, maintaining clean work areas, and ensuring compliance with safety and infection control policies.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate proficient phlebotomy skills including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on‑call and overtime.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver?s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all age groups.
• Accurately label and process specimens according to laboratory protocol.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of phlebotomy carts and work areas.
• Administer oral solutions according to established training, such as Glucola.
• Data entry and processing specimens including labeling, centrifuging, splitting, and freezing as required by test order.
• Perform departmental-related clerical duties when assigned such as data entry, inventory, stock supplies, and answer phones when needed.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures and ensure that all staff follow instructions.
• Observe infection control and safety protocols at all times.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and required data entries.
