Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent as required by state regulations.
• Completion of a phlebotomy program or phlebotomy experience.
• Phlebotomy certification as defined by state regulations.
• DHS Fingerprinting Certification or ability to obtain it.
• Valid state drivers license where employed and auto insurance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Specimen collection and receipt with correct patient and specimen identification.
• Enter and verify patient demographics, tests, and orders in the system.
• Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute to the proper area.
• Maintain quality, accuracy, and HIPAA privacy; participate in quality initiatives.
• Communicate with team and support multi-location coverage.
