City of Hope in Duarte, CA is seeking a working supervisor for Clinical Specimen Processing and Phlebotomy to join the Clinical Pathology management team. The role handles budget oversight, staff development, and day-to-day operations, with a Monday–Friday 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM schedule and potential shift flexibility.

The candidate will supervise order entry, patient flow, and billing activities, contribute to system upgrades (CIS), and ensure high service standards in a dynamic laboratory setting.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree required.
• State of California Phlebotomy License required.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum 5 years experience in phlebotomy with at least 6 months in a supervisory capacity.

Mansioni

• Develop and monitor budget activities for the section.
• Oversee staff training, competency, hiring, evaluations, scheduling, and daily workflow management.
• Manage section policies and procedures, including annual reviews and updates.
• Supervise order entry, patient flow through phlebotomy services, and billing activities.
• Represent the department in evaluating and implementing new order entry systems (CIS) and troubleshoot customer service issues.
