Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Supervisor, Laboratory Support Services to lead the provider care team in accurate, timely collection of lab samples and testing. The role includes HR tasks such as scheduling and performance reviews, and ensuring regulatory compliance with Mercy Service Standards.

The ideal candidate will have three years of clinical lab experience, strong leadership, and a customer-service mindset, supporting Mercy’s mission to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Three years acceptable clinical laboratory experience.
• Education: High School Degree; preferred Associate's Degree.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Laboratory Support Services team with staffing and HR tasks, including scheduling and performance reviews.
• Ensure accurate, precise, and timely collection of laboratory samples and testing.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and Mercy Service Standards.

Laboratory Supervisors are responsible for assuring compliance and meeting all regulatory requirements consistent with the quality of a World Class Laboratory. This position will be required to perform Human Resources functions, which may include scheduling and job performance reviews. The Laboratory Supervisor Support Services will be required to exhibit excellent customer service skills in line with Mercy Signature Service in all internal and external customer interactions. Mercy Leaders are required to exhibit Mercy Leadership Attributes.
