Job description

Labcorp is a leader in diagnostics and drug development solutions. We are seeking a Phlebotomist in Canton, GA.

Work Schedule

Part‑time: 25 hours weekly. Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00 am‑3:00 pm (30‑minute lunch break). Tuesday and Thursday 1:00 pm‑6:00 pm (no lunch break).

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  • Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner
  • Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
  • Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Perform administrative and clerical duties as needed
  • Travel to additional sites when required
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program
  • At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 or more years of phlebotomy experience
Additional Job Standards
  • Phlebotomy certification must be from an accredited agency if no work experience is provided
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color‑blindness test

Employees scheduled for less than 20 hours, as well as casual, intern, and temporary staff, are eligible for 401(k) only. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO/FTO.
