Job summary

Labcorp in Cumming, GA is seeking a Phlebotomist to perform venipuncture and capillary collections for diverse age groups. You will ensure accurate data entry, process billing, and prepare specimens for testing while maintaining patient logs and delivering excellent service.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, plus phlebotomy certification or training, and at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience; travel to additional sites may be needed.

Job Overview

Phlebotomist position located in Cumming, GA.

Work Schedule

Monday-Thursday 8:15am-5:45pm with 1 hour lunch break. Friday 8:00am-12:15pm no lunch break; Saturdays may be included.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
• 1 year or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must be from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
