The role requires a valid phlebotomy certification and at least 6 months of venipuncture experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; HS diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures and matches requisition forms.
• Explain the venipuncture process clearly and courteously to patients as required.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage temperatures.
