Job summary

UCLA Health is seeking a Phlebotomy Instructor to join the UCLA Center for Prehospital Care in Los Angeles. You will provide instruction for phlebotomy programs, delivering lectures and practical demonstrations to student groups.

Responsibilities include presenting lectures, fair evaluations, advocating for students, and collaborating with a team. Evening, holiday, and weekend availability is required for per diem staff.

Qualifications

• California Certified Phlebotomist certification is required.
• Minimum three years as a phlebotomist in a CA-certified facility.
• Baccalaureate degree in a health-related field (preferred).
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Ability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends (minimum 12 shifts per fiscal year).

Responsibilities

• Instruct students on phlebotomy practices, equipment, and skills.
• Perform fair, accurate and consistent evaluation of students.
• Act as a student advocate in the learning process.
• Work and collaborate in a team-setting environment.
