The Patient Services Representative III-Floater (PSR III) represents the face of our company to patients, whether as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions. The PSR III draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing, following established practices and procedures. They have direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence, while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. The PSR III demonstrates leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence and maintaining sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center, or as needed based on business requirements.
Under the direction of the area supervisor, the PSR III performs daily activities accurately and on time, maintaining a safe and professional environment. They perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures. Responsibilities include verifying patient demographic information and initials, including post-venipuncture signature, to ensure tubes are labeled correctly in the patient's presence. Maintaining required records and documentation, and promoting a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public are also key duties.
Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
Willingness to travel within a 150-200 mile radius and maintain a flexible schedule is required. Floaters are expected to be punctual at assigned sites and can submit mileage for expense reimbursement.
