Job Description
  1. The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients, assisting them with health routines or health decisions.
  2. The PSR II draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing, following established procedures.
  3. Creates a trusting environment, explains procedures, and performs blood draws safely and accurately.
  4. Demonstrates leadership, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy.
  5. Assignments may include doctor's offices, patient service centers, or other locations as needed.
  6. Performs daily activities accurately and on time under supervision.
  7. Maintains a safe, professional environment.
  8. Handles forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following protocols.
  9. Verifies patient demographic info and labels tubes in the patient's presence.
  10. Maintains records and documentation.
  11. Promotes a positive image and organizational commitment.
Job Requirements
  1. Ability to produce quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
  2. Works independently with minimal supervision.
  3. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  4. Flexible and available for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
  5. Adheres to policies, dress code, safety, and guiding principles.
  6. Good judgment and decision-making skills.
  7. Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record if applicable.
  8. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations.
  9. Handles multiple priorities in high-volume environments.
  10. Superior customer focus and effective communication skills.
Required Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience
  • At least three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Preferably two years in a Patient Service Center environment.
  • Customer service experience in retail or service settings preferred.
  • Keyboard/data entry experience.
