Job summary

MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, WA is seeking a Patient Services Representative (PSR) to support Lab Services. You will register patients, enter orders, perform phlebotomy and process specimens, and assist with specimen pickup and delivery.

The role may involve delivery of supplies and other location-based tasks. The position requires a High school graduate and MA-Phlebotomy certification/eligibility with training within 90 days of hire; phlebotomy experience and public-facing

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Current Medical Assistant-Certified, Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy Certification, or Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist eligible - must complete training within 90 days of hire.
• Completion of phlebotomy course or training preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Previous experience dealing with the public preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and enter orders.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing.
• May collect specimens from offices and handle report sorting and delivery.
• Provide supply delivery and other location operations support.
