Trinity Health MI in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Phlebotomy Services Coordinator to coordinate staffing for Specimen Control areas including inpatient, outpatient and outreach phlebotomy and registration.
The role leads and triages inpatient and traveling phlebotomy services, troubleshoots lab needs, and coaches staff to meet departmental metrics while ensuring accurate specimen handling and timely processing.

Minimum: High school diploma, or equivalent.
Preferred: Phlebotomy Training or Phlebotomy Technical School.
Minimum: ASCP certification for Phlebotomy (or other accrediting agency) to be obtained within 3 months of hire.
Minimum: Six months of phlebotomy experience.
Preferred: Previous experience in a leadership role.
Minimum: Strong communication, interpersonal and clerical skills. Strong customer service skills. Strong critical thinking skills. Able to access situations, consider alternatives and respond with appropriate action
Familiarity with standard desktop and windows based computer system, including email, e-learning, intranet and computer navigation. Ability to use other software required to perform essential functions.
Minimum: Sitting for long periods of time; mobile; bending, stooping and reaching above head and lifting and carrying as part of daily responsibilities. Keyboard, repetitive tasks of typing and phone use.
Must be competent in all areas of Specimen Control: Outpatient, Inpatient and offsite facility draws
