Job summary

Centerpoint Medical Center is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our dedicated team. The role involves receiving and processing specimens, performing basic lab procedures, and handling clerical tasks such as greeting patients, explaining procedures, and maintaining records.

You will identify and label specimens, prepare them for testing, and ensure accurate data entry. Weekend night shifts (Fri-Sun 6pm–6am) are required. A phlebotomy certification is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification is highly desired.
• Six months phlebotomy experience preferred, ideally in a hospital lab.

Responsibilities

• Identify and label specimens accurately.
• Prepare specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to staging areas.
• Process all paperwork for submitted specimens.
• Enter patient information into the system accurately and promptly.
