Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic—Optum family in Houston—seeks a phlebotomist to join a multi-site team. You will perform venipunctures, CLIA waived tests and maintain records with accuracy and safety as top priority.

Responsibilities include quality controls, instrument care, and adherence to lab procedures. Strong English, customer service, and computer skills are essential; prior EPIC experience is a plus. This is an on-site role with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited school.
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment.
• KSC review/skill validation within 90 days of hire.
• 2+ years experience if Phlebotomy program OR 3+ years phlebotomy with waived testing.
• Experience with Windows-based software.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipunctures and collection as ordered.
• Perform CLIA waived testing per procedure manual.
• Maintain accurate lab records for audits.
• Handle quality controls and proficiency testing
• Maintain and calibrate lab instruments
