Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is hiring a Phlebotomist to join a multi-site health system in Houston. You will perform venipunctures, CLIA-waived tests, and maintain accurate lab records while ensuring quality and safety standards.

Qualifications include high school diploma, BLS within 30 days, 2–3+ years of phlebotomy experience or equivalent, plus proficiency with Windows software and EPIC EMR. Competitive benefits and schedule flexibility offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment.
• 2+ years phlebotomy experience OR 3+ years in a related setting with waived testing and specimen processing.
• Experience with Windows-based software and EMR systems.
• Ability to communicate in English; customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric and adult venipunctures and other collection services.
• Perform CLIA waived testing per procedure with minimal supervision.
• Maintain lab records for inspections and audits.
• Conduct quality controls and participate in proficiency testing.
• Maintain laboratory instruments and follow safety guidelines.
