Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Phlebotomy/Laboratory Assistant to perform phlebotomy and a range of lab clerical tasks in a hospital laboratory setting. The role requires patient interaction, specimen handling, and adherence to safety and quality standards across the campus.

Day shift, 40 hours per week, with opportunities to train in LIS/e-Source systems and contribute to a high reliability organization focused on safe, efficient care.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy and specimen processing experience preferred.
• Good customer service and communication with clinicians, staff, and patients.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and lab procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing as required at the campus.
• Handle associated computer tasks related to LIS and e-Source.
• Assist with training new staff and students as needed.
• Maintain regulatory compliance per lab policies and safety standards.
• Keep competencies up to date through mandatory education.
