Job summary

cTrace Solutions, Inc. seeks a Lab Technician / Phlebotomist in Austin, TX, for a 3–6 month contract. The role involves blood draws, patient care, and supporting behavioral health laboratory operations in a clinical setting.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of blood-drawing experience, relevant certifications, and the ability to work with individuals with diverse health needs. Regular hours are 7:00 AM–1:00 PM with mandatory training days.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of blood-drawing experience.
• Current, applicable certifications or credentials required for the position.
• Experience in hospital, clinical laboratory, or behavioral health setting preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and patient care skills.
• Ability to work with patients with complex behavioral or healthcare needs.
• Must meet all facility clearance and onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws and collect specimens following established laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
• Provide laboratory services to patients receiving inpatient behavioral health treatment and rehabilitation.
• Work with individuals experiencing mental health conditions, intellectual or developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, and physical disabilities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection control and patient safety guidelines.
• Comply with applicable Texas regulations, facility policies, and laboratory procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
• Perform additional laboratory-related duties as assigned.
