Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH is seeking a Laboratory Assistant PRN to collect blood specimens and ensure specimen integrity. The role requires accurate data entry, proper labeling, and adherence to safety standards across inpatient, outpatient, ED and nursing home patients.

You will work with a professional team to maintain supplies, perform venipunctures, and dispatch specimens to offsite locations, contributing to efficient lab operations and patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred with medical terminology desirable.
• Knowledge of phlebotomy terminology and basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow hospital procedures and document accurately.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens and enter patient data accurately.
• Draw venipunctures for diverse patient groups with care.
• Label tubes at the bedside and dispatch specimens offsite.
• Maintain sanitary phlebotomy tray and learn new methods.
